are you a good candidate for permanent makeup?

  • Permanent makeup enhances your natural beauty. It can be especially helpful if you:

  • Are allergic to topical makeup

  • Have eyesight or dexterity difficulties

  • Seek a quick and easy makeup routine

  • Have lost coloration in your areola

  • Have undergone breast reconstruction

  • Suffer from alopecia

2

Micropigmentation is not a good option if:

  • You have severely variegated lips (two-tone coloration)

  • You have a strong blue/violet underlying tone to your lips

  • You are pregnant or nursing (All services must be cleared by your healthcare provider before a procedure can begin)

  • You underwent breast reconstruction in the last 3 months (All services must be cleared by your surgeon)

  • You are prone to keloid or hypertrophic scaring

what should i avoid before my service?

Avoid any sun exposure, as well as electrolysis, tweezing, waxing or threading your eyebrows for at least one week prior to your appointment. Please avoid alcohol, Advil or caffeine for one day prior to your service.  These thin the blood which can impact pigment retention and the overall outcome of your service.

Avoid Botox, laser, chemical peels and any other exfoliants 9 days before your service.

Please note that if you are on or around your menstrual cycle you may be more sensitive to pain and may bleed easier

Please inform me of all medications you are on to ensure your services can be performed safely.

What can i expect after my procedure?

You will be provided with detailed aftercare instructions that you will need to follow very closely in order to obtain the BEST results....not to mention to avoid post-care complications.  A follow up appointment will be scheduled for 4-6 weeks after your initial procedure.  It is important that you keep this appointment.

  • Lips are extremely vascular so  it is common to experience a small amount of bleeding from lip procedures

  • Lips may have swelling for 24-72 hours post procedure

  • Eyes may water immediately after an eyeliner or lash enhancement procedure

  • Eyes are expected to swell slightly.  This may last 24-48 hours

  • Brows may be reddened and slightly swollen for the first 6-12 hours

can permanent makeup be removed?

There are many factors involved in the successful removal of permanent makeup.  Permanent makeup can be lightened by a skilled artist prior to corrections. Also, if identified right away post procedure, small areas of pigmentation can be encouraged to not heal into the skin resulting in a "lightening" of the pigmented color.

In order to have pigmentation completely removed, you will need to be referred to a physician who is skilled at pigmentation removal.  This process may take several visits over an extended period of time - and can be quite expensive.

6

can i develop an allergy to the pigments?

Even though only industry grade pigments are used, allergies to the pigments can occur.  Allergies may be evident right away, or may take weeks, months or even years to appear.

In order to test for an allergy to the pigmentation ink, you may have a small area of ink tattooed into an inconspicuous area (behind the ear, in the hairline) on your body.  You will then be asked to wait two weeks before scheduling your procedure.
